A gorgeous beach. A big beach, had a lovely walk along it. Much more scenic than it's neighbours Rhyl and Prestatyn. Beautiful part of the county, will definitely visit this area of Wales again!

What a superb beach and so well deigned that even at high tide there is plenty of exposed sand. Different areas cater for swimmers, children, dogs, surfers and other water sports activities. Adjacent and to the east is Porth Eirias with the restaurant, cafe, showers, toilets and lockers. There is also free WiFi to encourage the younger element who cannot... More

Over the last few years the Council have invested heavily in the beach and prom, work still going on the the west of the pier. The golden sand makes the beach an ideal place for the family to spend the warm sunny days, with the children digging to their hearts content. Sailing is available for anyone wishing to get out... Great dog walking beach but restricted in Spring n Summer. Only accessible at low tide but beware tide sweeps in !!!! Either side of collapsing pier which is restricted, is good one more rocky than the other. Loads of free parking !

This is a lovely beach within walking distance of the twin centre and there's also a car park . Although the pier is now closed it's still quite a sight and well security ( if you're visiting with little people ) no signs of dog mess and very little litter . Lots of shells and seafood to discover if that's... More

Took our dogs this afternoon, they loved it. The beach is long, wide, sandy. Free parking alongside the beach. It's a shame the pier has gone to waste & the council have put up signs saying the buildings on it are dangerous, but it seems to have been left to rot! The town is about a 5 minute walk away.... The area is under construction, however the beauty is still there. My only wish is that they refurbish the pier and make it thrive once again. It could be an absolutely fabulous attraction for residents and tourists alike.

My young family and I spent Xmas week in Colwyn Bay and loved every minute of it... especially as we were just a 1/4 mile walk from this great beach.. It's clean, safe and dog friendly in the Winter.. it'd be be great if they sorted out the old pier either way, such a waste tbh but the stretch from... More

The sand at colwyn bay beach is lovely having been recently renovated, and a new 'leisure centre' has been built half way down the prom 'porth eirias' it's a bit of an eyesore and I've never seen anything going on there, but I'm told the restaurant has finally opened so will look forward to trying that out sometime, other than... Colwyn Bay beach has recently had an awful lot of sand replaced. It is wonderful for families and dog walking(be careful where and when you walk your dog). The promenade has been made more accessible and is now being extended. The only eye sore is the old pier which is shortly to be removed.
