We were traveling from Arkansas to Georgia and took a stop over in Memphis to have a rest and experience some of the local music, and Beale street . It was a Tuesday night and not a lot seemed to be going on in Jan. but we walked up down beale street for a stroll . On our way back... More

We were at Rum Boogie Cafe and heard the amazing voice of the singer at Blues Hall through the connecting door. We walked in with our drinks. The music was great and the audience was lively. Good fun!

We were tired of the walking and touring and found that the sidewalk bar was for us instead of sitting inside. Their special was 32 oz bucket of citrus rum and lemonade for &10.00.. I stopped and got one every night on the way back to the hotel. I took that bucket to the hot tub with me.

Rude place, but warm ! Wonderful music: as all other places of the street has live music almost every night. The walls are pregnant of signature and words left on the bricks. The style is the one you find all around the area: every single wall, chair, table, lamp, frame, board etc... Is pregnant of life and witnesses the passage... More

This space, like many others, is tiny, but full of cool stuff. The walls hold some old photos, paintings, memorabilia, and vibrations from many years of live blues performances. Take a seat, if you can find one, have a beer (and a cigarette if you'd like), and get a real close-up musical blues experience. The food is even pretty good.... More

We walked up and down Beale Street trying to decide which place to hang out and listen to music. We walked by this place several times and each time the band was playing another good song. The friendly bartender chatted with us through the serving window so we went on it. Good choice! We stayed for a couple of hours... More

We were just wandering around Beale St, looking to grab a beer and the music drew us in. No AC so it was warm inside, but the beer was cold and the band was very good. The atmosphere has that old-time smokey bar look and feel. I have only seen pictures of juke joints, but this seems more authentic than... More

We were cruising Beale Street and the Hall took our ear due to the great music from the McDaniels Band coming out the door. Two BABBs and a couple of hours later and we left feeling thoroughly entertained in a lively atmosphere.
