Our knowledgeable and humorous guide made this a great tour and learning experience. We had about 20 in our group and we were free to discuss and ask questions. We also were able to touch and hold the guitar samples and parts at various points...More

We had reservations for the 10:00 tour. There is a sign posted at the ticket desk telling which tour times include the workers being there or ask ahead of time. The workers are truly highly skilled artisans! We were a little late getting started and...More

We took the factory tour yesterday whilst visiting Memphis. It was absolutely fascinating and our tour guide, John did an amazing job of conveying the care and attention that goes into each hand made semi hollow instrument here. Highly recommended and well worth the ticket...More

We took a tour of the factory where the Gibson hollow body electric guitars are made. It was very worthwhile for the money. I would recommend booking in advance online; we did and noticed some people who showed up were put on a later tour....More

Having played guitar for 40 years, I have long admired the product Gibson provides. So I took this opportunity to see them in raw material form. The Friday 4:30pm tour featured an empty factory (workers would have made it much more interesting). And if the...More

This is a very good factory tour. It begins with the wood supplies, then walks along an assembly line of workers who do the step-wise manufacture of what they term, "semi-solid" guitars. These are not the big box acoustics--but the thiner guitars. I was told...More

Sadly, we arrived after the last tour of the day had already started and we were leaving Memphis too early the next morning to book the first one for the next day, but my guitar-playing 10-year old son enjoyed seeing the place where the legendary...More

Felt the tour could be improved drastically - the tour wasn't inclusive to the guests and hardly interesting even to an avid guitar player. It comprised of feeling some samples and staring at machinery for an hour. The tour guide was quite funny but unenthusiastic....More

Not sure but you want to try and go when they are making the guitars, you get to walk around the factory floor and see all the work stations.
