Good bars & restaurants

Lots of bars and restaurants here. Some interesting stores for souvenirs. Lots of blues music. It was pretty quiet here for a January Saturday. Very neat place to visit.

I haven't found a better place in the nation to listen to music. Anyone who appreciates blues or r & b will love it! BB King's was where I found the best music but Rum Boogie is also good. Also visited Jerry Lee Lewis's club.

Walked through Beale Street after the Rockets vs Grizzles game. At around 10pm on a Saturday night the place was very busy and everyone seeming to be having a good time. Several police were present to help people feel safe and direct traffic. Stopped in a gift shop and the friendly employee inside greeted us and chatted for a few... More

Interesting part of town, very different to downtown in Nashville which also has a street of music venues as this has greeters which stops you just wandering in and out as casually. The Blues Hall was fabulous for music and very low key and we had good food at BB Kings. Watch out for the panhandlers!

I absolutely love the fact while I'm visiting Beale street, alot of juke joints and dinning restaurants have live Jazz or blues playing. Beautiful souls bearing to my ears <3

Had a great time walking Beale Street. Had dinner at the packed BB Kings and stopped in a few clubs to hear some live music. Crowded, but a heavy police presence made us feel safe. Much shorter in length than Bourbon Street in NOLA for reference. A must see!

A large variety of restaurants for singles, couples or groups to eat and listen to music. A must see if you are visiting Memphis Tennessee!

I've never seen so many signs saying NO FIREARMS! I will not be taking my wife to anywhere on Beale Street. It's expensive, corny, fake blues. I'm sure The Peabody wishes it wasn't so close by! Save your money and buy an extra velvet Elvis somewhere else!
