Great place to watch the river traffic on a nice day. Free parking available and public washrooms. Interesting monuments scattered along the paths.

We stumbled upon this park in search of the swan boats that we could see from across the Mississippi River. The monorail ride provides a view of great sites, but there isn't much else to do. It is evident that they used to have more activities, and maybe they do in the summer. However, there was little to do in... More

Took my 4 year old here on a warm summer day just to pass the time. It was kind of interesting, but don't think we will be back. The water if pretty dirty and although they say you can play in it, most places you won't want to.

Toured the entirety of Mud Island during a January visit and was under impressed. No effort at all was made to engage tourists during a slightly off-season. The island itself was essentially deserted when I was on it as was all of its amenities. If you want tourists you need to engage them clearly nobody in Memphis feels the compulsion... More

We stumbled upon this place by accident really. We saw the monorail crossing the road and walked up to check it out. We decided to walk across the monorail bridge which is manageable. The River Park was fantastic. It was really interesting to walk the length of the Mississippi and see the landscape at various points. We also had a... More

We had a spare afternoon, saw this advertised and decided to go there. We are really glad we did. The scale model of the Mississippi was brilliant and so well laid out with all the places it went through marked out for us to see. The Museum was full of the history of the river with a part of a... Mud Island has so much to see and do that you must spend at least three hours here, and don't forget to visit the Memphis Belle while you are there.

The presentation of the Mississippi river is wonderful. A lot of information while you are outside walking it. Every now and then you can look at the Real River.

As a tourist looking for must-see attractions in Memphis, its hard to conceptualize what Mud Island River Park is all about and it doesn't get any easier once you are there. The lady in the ticketing booth was uninterested in helping us or in explaining the various package options and what one was paying for. We did not take the... More

This was a definite highlight of our stay in Memphis. We caught the monorail in the morning so we had plenty of time. The replica of the Mississippi River is amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed walking the entire length even though it was exceptionally hot. All the information boards were excellent. We also went to the museum which was amazing.... More
