An amazing place - I always stop when passing. James and his staff always make me welcome, tasters always offered! They are extremely knowledgable real professionals. Yes, as noted below, the staff do come out from behind the counter and stay nearby - as far as I can see this is so that they are on hand to advise and discuss. The range of whiskies is interesting, and the prices are similar to other whisky specialists. If you enjoy good malts, and are passing, do stop and visit!

Used to be more of a motorcyclists’ stop, but now general merchandise and hiking gear, although the bikers still stop. The restaurant was closed when we got there (glad we had eaten earlier… this is pretty out of the way). But there were snacks to be had at the convenience store, and more options for gifts and souvenirs. This is not a tourist attraction, but is is a popular stop for drivers and especially bikers. They add the local color.

Great little stop off. Just to break up the journey. Toilet break, coffee stop and a quick look round the gift shop. Also a great place for fellow travellers that have camper vans to stop off and do some laundry. They have a small load and a big load outside but under cover. Great little rest stop to do a little shopping on groceries also as there is a convenience store to the front of the building.
