Took a look in and around the Breadalbane Folklore Centre, whilst we stopped in Killin. Just over the bridge, the centre is situated in the old mill. You can still see the water wheel outside and the workings within. The centre has some local information...More

Despite Undiscovered Scotland stating - 'The Breadalbane Folklore Centre closed permanently at the end of the 2011 season' we found it was in fact open when we stopped off to see the Falls of Dochart and glad we did too. Simple but informative and worth...More

This is located to one side of Dochard Falls and is within the watermill. It is interesting to be able to see the wheel in action including the internal workings of the mill. It appears that the restoration is a work in progress so there...More

Lovely piece of history that locals are trying to preserve with a thrift store in ground floor and an arts and craft place on second floor. Go in and support the community!

We were happy to spend money in the thrift shop on the ground floor of the old mill that houses this centre. Profits from the shop and crafts displayed upstairs go towards the renovation & hopefully, eventual upkeep of this building. It is worth supporting.

We stopped here for a wander round and talked to the two charming women there. The centre is a beautiful building staffed by local volunteers and the community is trying to raise money to restore the beautiful mill wheel. They have a stock of second...More

This is a small but interesting place to visit. Enthusiasts are trying to re-open the water mill and the more people that visit the better this can become.
