Hey Heather, Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately you must have been around when there was no volunteer, who normally man the building and gladly assist you with any queries. Glad you enjoyed the walk & appreciate the materials present for consultation.

Great little place for a stop over to give you local information on walks, parking places, Nature/wildlife do's and dont's tips also has clean toilets for you to use ..well done keep up the great work people :)

We visited on a sunny day, had a look round the Gateway, used the facilities and then chose one of the waymarked walks. It was beautiful to walk through the woods which were stunning, being full of bluebells and then on up to a viewpoint....More

We were dropped off here for a walk into Callander. The maps are easy to understand and there are quite a few things aimed at little ones (even off on the walks).

Lots of information, clean, tidy loo, free wifi. What more could you want? Oh yes, the weather, but that's not the VC fault! Trossachs still amazing in the rain.

From the car park the steep climb takes you to 600 metres asl and the views back towards Loch Venachar are staggering, the walk takes about two hours taking in some fine scenery and ending up at the huge reservoir and then a stroll downhill...More
