We rolled off the CalMac ferry and straight onto the Jura ferry. Fares taken onboard and it takes 5 minutes. Just be there on time for the return as it runs very sharp

Short crossing, expensive per mile! but with friendly staff and will make multiple trips if too many are waiting as size is limited.

great lad a pleasure to travel with, quick and convenient crossing return fare cheaper than one way but can go as a passenger only if needed

Shortest ever ferry ride, 5 minutes, goes out in all weathers it seems. We spoke to a ferryman who told us times, costs, etc. and we just turned up and paid on board. It only takes a few cars but it runs every hour.

Did not have any issues in our travels to Jura. The schedule is easy to find online ( take a screenshot with your cell phone since cell coverage is spotty at best on Jura)

We ended up missing a ferry because the hydraulic arm was broken. But we were impressed to see how quickly the ferry was repaired. They only skipped one sailing, and things were back to normal when we returned a couple of hours later.

A 10 minute crossing only, however this is across a very strong channel (Corryvreckan whirlpool is at one end) to the extent that you "aim" almost 45 degrees away from docking point - good fun. Jura is great.

The ferry from Islay to Jura is punctual, cheap and quick. Be careful to check the bus connections at either end or arrange a taxi!
