After sampling the complimentary mini bottle of their more standard offerings in our Crathes Castle lodging, my wife and I drove the 25 minutes to Glen Garioch Distillery, but were 10 minutes late for the formal tour - lucky us! The gentleman left inside to receive guests was free and able to give us a totally private overview of the... More

Went here for my dad's 60th birthday present with 2 of my brothers. The tour guide was very informative and it was visible she had a passion for her craft. We opted for the rare pair tour so were lucky enough to take in a few drams along with accompanying cheeses. Suffice to say it did not disspoint! We were... More

We really enjoyed our tour of Glen Garioch. We had a superb tour guide and he made learning about whisky fun and interesting. It is a small distillery and I think you get an better idea of how whisky is produced than when you go to the huge multi national firms. A lovely, interesting way to pass an hour.

We booked only a couple of hours prior to this excellent tour with Fiona and would really recommend if you find yourself in the area. Fiona was really engaging and knowledgeable, my bf was delighted she could answer all his nerdy questions!

Really friendly stuff but the excursion is really cold so be sure to take warm socks and jacket. Need to call and book before you come.

Excellent local distillery. Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and the many thereafter while showing family and friends the local sites.

This was our first distillery visit and we had a lovely time. We had 2 samples to try at the end, with bottles for the driver to sample at home. Our tour guide and all the people in the shop were lovely. A great way to spend the afternoon!

We went there one December Saturday to buy a bottle of hand filled whisky. The two staff were very helpful and friendly - Fiona M and Emily - and went that extra mile to make it an interesting and enjoyable experience. It was great fun trying to fill a bottle by hand direct from the cask without spilling most of... More

We toured Glen Garioch as part of a small tour company, and totally enjoyed it. Our guide was warm and friendly and, while her lovely Scottish brogue kept me from understanding everything, I got the gist of their traditions and process in making this wonderful scotch whisky. Love the fact that it was in the middle of a small town... More
