Lovely place to visit a while away an hour or two. Our. Is it was out of season so parking was easy and opposite the gallery and start of the sculpture walk. We wandered through the sculptures and down to the beach, which is stunning. After spending time 'messing about' on the beach we walked back to the gallery admiring... More

OK it was a sunny day! That nearly always makes it better when browsing around a 'gallery' that happens to be 90% under trees and 10% in fields. Coming from South Gloucestershire we're regular visitors to the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail, and this was every bit as interesting. Lots of unusual and thought-provoking pieces, and a setting that overlooks... More

The little complex, with gallery, shop, coffee shop and woodland walk is clearly signposted on the way to Calgary Bay. We visited during half term and enjoyed mugs of hot chocolate before our walk. There was a good range of tasty looking cakes, but we wanted to save room for lunch later on. The main attraction for us was the... More

Stopped by after a walk on the nearby beach at Calgary to find the cafe closed. I had looked on their website but didn't see anything about opening times. Sign on cafe door points you to the visitors centre where there is self service coffee and some fresh cakes. On this occasion we were looking for something a little more... More

A great place to spend a couple of hours. There's a network of paths through the woods with plenty of sculptures and other art to see. Some of the paths aren't suitable for pushchairs. You can collect a map from behind the gallery where the walk starts, there's a voluntary donation for this. It's worth walking up to the top... More

We stopped by here after having a run about on Calgary Beach. The 1 year old and 5 year old were starving so we thought we'd try it. They had soup and we had paninis. The kids soups were a brilliant size and they both got a door wedge size hunk of bread which they devoured. The soup they said... More

Popped in for a late lunch, after a visit to Calgary Bay. Had the cheese & ham panini with a lovely side salad. A latte and coffee & walnut cake. Lovely food, friendly staff. This rounded off an excellent visit to Calgary Bay.

Lovely walk with a four year old. And great lunch afterwards, with bacon, hazelnut and mull cheddar tart the highlight!

Just a stroll uphill from Calgary Bay and you'll find this, not the greatest artwork in the world but the setting is superb and there's a gallery nearby.

the walk to the bay is great. we walked there, taking time to notice all the little sculptures and art works. and on the way back from the beach saw things we didnt notice the first time. its quite magical. i think fairies might belong in a place like this. loved the stack made from willow, and the koy fish...
