For nearly 200 years a small team of dedicated islanders have worked here to create what is considered to be the most distinctive single malt in the world. Of course over time the people change, but our traditional methods, the ancient skills and absolute dedication to quality always remains. We would be proud if you make the journey to visit our home and you will be assured of the warmest of welcomes when you do.

The staff is amazingly friendly. We missed the tour because wet walked in the rain and it took longer than expected. The whiskey was vey good. Less Smokey than others. If you're from USA you'll probably relate it more to our whiskeys.

Visiting the Laphroaig distillery is like a pilgrimage for some, for others it is simply a day out. Whatever your motivation I would recommend a visit here at some point while you are on Islay.

At Laphroaig Distillery we had booked a tour. Our group was not to big so the tour had something personal. Also at this tour you get to see the active malting floor what is special to see. The whole tour was very good and ended...More

Flybe is the plane company that services Islay. It really depends on the flight times available. You'll probably have to arrive one day and leave the next.
