Upon arrival, we were met by a staff member at the gate. She asked us if we had a certain pass, we said yes, because we did, so she waved us through. Then she runs after us and asks if we have a different pass,...More

I was under the impression that the castle closed at the end of October, not on the last Sunday in October, hence having arrived in the area on the Saturday we didn’t rush to the castle on the Sunday - I wish we had. As...More

We visited at friend's recommendations and were quite impressive with the expansive grounds of this castle. You park a bit away, walk into a main court area where there is a nice gift shop and restaurant. Then you can head out onto the grounds themselves....More

Amazing place - rich with history. We felt privileged to stay here. Fantastic experience overall. World’s largest collection of battle-fired flintlock pistols dating back to pre-American Revolutionary War. Eisenhower stayed here four times - once during his presidency. High tea & ghosts too!
