we saw a lot of puffins, scuas and ganets! the cliffs are very impressive, I would recommend it to everyone

This year there are less puffins, but nonetheless this is a stunning area. Gorgeous hike over board walks!

Hermaness reserve is absolutely beautiful and worth the journey from the mainland - I would recommend taking a camera when you walk along the cliffs, as the views and wildlife are something to capture forever

Tel 01957 71166 local Garage to check on Public transport. There is a daily bus at 7.55am from Lerwick, gets to Unst about 11am. Walk over Hermaness takes a few hours to do it justice. There is a bus back to Lerwick at 4pm... More

get the overland to unst, public transport poor but you will be safe hitching on the island but really you need to hire a car xx
