Great mountain pass with excellent views if weather is good. Very tight hairpins and single track with passing places. Battle scars of many a rented motor home decorating the barriers and rocks! Can be a nightmare if two ‘newbie’ motorhome’rs come face to face!

Sheildaig is lovely and has a good pub and restaurant. Applecross is lovely too but I think its not a good base, unless you like the hairy drive on a regular basis! We stayed in a lodge in Achintraid, just outside of Kishorn... More

The only thing I can suggest is to do it twice and make up your own mind. It is fantastic both ways. Sorry I can't be anymore helpful
