Lovely spot at the southern end of Loch Ness. Busy with tourists during the day but quiet at night with plenty of good pubs and walking trails.

So glad we stopped through Fort Augustus- small little town with a great "main strip"...views of the locks on the rivers, wonderful little shops, museums, history markers and restaurants all within an easy walk.

The views are breath-taking! Have a Bostin meal side of the canal and watch the world go by - or a boat or two!

We came to this town because we had booked 4 days on a canal boat. It is an adorable little town. Lots of good restaurants and shops. Very clean. The people were very friendly and helpful!

Sorry, I meant Lovat, Inch, and Holt BB, not Rainbow View.
