Had lunch at The Lovat Brasserie then took a walk down to see the boats going through the locks. A lot of tourists there who I am sure enjoyed watching the boats too. Very warm day. Lots of little shops to have a browse in.

So glad we stopped through Fort Augustus- small little town with a great "main strip"...views of the locks on the rivers, wonderful little shops, museums, history markers and restaurants all within an easy walk.
The views are breath-taking! Have a Bostin meal side of the canal and watch the world go by - or a boat or two!
