This is a 5 star visitor attraction and retail complex. Loch Ness is already the most famous lake in the world but our aim is to make it better understood. This is achieved through a fully audio visually guided 35 minute tour. The presentation is theatrical in style and integrates the real tools and archive footage from four decades of research. As part of our educational remit, under 6s go free. The facts are objectively explained and whilst keeping the mystery centre stage, we place it in the context of the loch's very unusual properties. Thus we are endorsed by Scottish Natural Heritage as "A portal to the unique natural phenomenon that is Loch Ness". We offer a huge range of retail onsite and boat cruises on Loch Ness in the summer months. There is also a large cafe and restaurant attached to the site.

Not what we expected but a good history of the hunt for Nessie. Several rooms with narrated film. Seemed slightly dated but then the hunt is old. A balanced perspective. A good history of the geology of the area.

Entered the main entrance as there was not anything to tell you that it would cost to go round. Once inside you are met with the ticket desk. The cost was £6.75 for pensioners and as they could see that I walk with a crutch we were offered a chair for us to carry round so that I could sit... More

A fairly small attraction that looks at the claims and the reality of THE LOCH NESS MONSTER. I'm not sure about the layout - moving from pretend stone room to pretend stone room to watch a little film in each but the material is very interesting and I enjoyed it. Good shop, bought a Tshirt (and it fits). Reduction in... More

Looks good from the outside. Inside not so good, walking through several dimly lit rooms watching videos with a distinct 70's feel about it. Must have missed the laser show and the water floor, either that they didn't make much of an impression on me. There are a few models to look at and a large newspaper archive but you... More

Very please at the quality of the presentation within the tour, though it did feel a little dated... More seating would probably give it 5 stars - we found ourselves standing to watch some of the 5 minute presentations.

I only went there because in a party of people some of whom wanted to know more about the story of the fabled monster. Fellow-sceptics in the party seemed to find it irritating and silly; but it broke up the long journey along the Great Glen, and it's not like there was nothing of interest in the exhibition.

A very well done exhibition with a visual and audio presentation given at each section before following through to the next section. Very informative and gives evidence for and against but leaves the decision to you.

As others have said, yes it is quite dated, and it's just a series of films followed by a room with interviews of eyewitnesses and newspaper clippings, but I still found it interesting and informative. And I still believe in Nessie!
