This is a great place to visit but the location is incorrect on the map provided by TripAdvisor. Buchanty Spout is in fact located about 10 miles due north of the location shown. Search for Buchanty on Google Maps and you will see, it is located along from Glenalmond School. Deff worth a visit - but avoid the frustration over... More

The river Almond is funnelled inti a narrow channel between rocks making this a favourite outdoor attraction particularly when the salmon are running. Its sign posted the track is rough and overgrown in summer and there are exposed roots and rocks nearer the river but it is free

A short walk down to the falls and if you are lucky at the right time of year you may see some leaping salmon!

Great place to enjoy nature and have a chance to see salmon leaping over the waterfall, only a short walk from the road. Caught some great pictures and fantastic memories.

Though we waited about 10-15 minutes between seeing each salmon leap, it was worth it. We spotted about 8 while we were there. If you go, wear shoes with grippy soles (the rocks can be very... More

Living locally, I see the spout very often. The falls are nice. The site and paths to the falls are not inclusive.

We visited this area on the way to Crieff, unfortunately the heavens opened whilst we were there so did not stop that long to see if we could see the salmon travelling up stream, but it is worth the stop during any weather - a truly beautiful and peaceful area.

Beautiful views especially on the rocks. There was no salmon though but it is the wrong month to see them. Best going around October November time to see salmon.

First saw this lovely waterfall area when in my 20s and have visited a few times since. Very pretty and if you go at the right time of year you can see the salmon leap
