Today we played the Kings course at Gleneagles. It started out as wonderful day with 58F and low winds but after about 7 holes the winds jumped to about 20 - 25 mph which really changed the course. There are several blind shots but the course book helped us find our way around the course. It was in good condition... More

Gleneagles offers warm hospitality with lots of activities for the family. We played a round of golf there at the King's course and it was very enjoyable. Their restaurant there is fantastic but the highlight of the trip was having Eva at reception going above an beyond her job at check out to provide us with chapstick and a bottle... More

Husband bought me a round of golf and I chose the Queen's Course. We were welcomed in the Dormie House and checked in efficiently. We were greeted on the first tee by Russell who advised us of the condition and the mandatory 10 minute stop at the Half Way House. Out on the course Nigel scooted about on his buggy... More

There was a story going around that the Ryder Cup planned for France in 2018 may be switched to Gleneagles, home of the hugely successful 2014 tournament. I'd go one better and say that they should switch it to The King's Course and before you say. It's too short! Hear me out. Golf is becoming a very boring spectator sport... More

A wonderful course amongst the most beautiful of places. The home of the 2014 Ryder Cup and a real test of golf. The green keepers had done a great job given the course was covered in snow two days earlier. Ken the bag master looked after us as though we were pro's and our halfway hostess Justine made the finest... More

Not the hotel nearby, but the golf club. Very helpful staff, not smarmy and welcoming us not very good golfers. Very welcome drink and bacon cemeteries at Halfway house run by pleasant girl and then eventually back to the clubhouse for a cup of tea in the very comfortable leather and chintzy lounge lit by a roaring fires and light... I’ve been here a couple of times now and it really is a great all round experience. We play the wee course in the morning which is good to get loosened up and then head to the dormy clubhouse for lunch. The clubhouse itself is worth a visit, nice views and a lovely fire. In the afternoon we played the... More
