This little stone circle used to be much bigger, but a farmer in the 1800s got tired of tourists and started blowing up the stones. HOW CRAZY IS THAT?!?!?! It's such a shame that he did, but at least someone stopped him before he got...More

This is easy to get to. The road goes very close, there is a free car park, and no charge to get in. Its just you and the stones. When we were there, there was almost no crowd.

The off road parking for this is miserable. However, once you are past that, this henge is quite magical. The barn house Neolithic settlement is only 400 meters away. When I was there a pagan group were hugging the stones and crying, ha, which I...More

I am torn as to how to rate this site. It deserves five stars for its place in ancient history. It deserves three stars, because there is no real car park for the site. We were traveling in a coach bus, and there is no...More
