Go here when I'm in Motherwell for a quite pint. Staff are nice and I like it that they watch for people coming in and serve them first. Old traditional pub near the train station with many local characters.
Motherwell is a modest town and not really on the tourist trail. I have to say though that for a quick visit it was worthwhile.
The Horseshoe Bar is certainly a friendly place. Scottish bars tend to be that way.
