Overview
More
Rosslyn Chapel, dating back to 1446, is just seven miles from Edinburgh city centre and is open to visitors all year. The Chapel's setting and the mysterious symbolism of its ornate stonework have attracted and intrigued visitors for generations. A starring role in The Da Vinci Code propelled it into the international spotlight. There are countless theories, myths and legends associated with the Chapel and our tour guides will be able to tell you more about these, and the building's history, when you visit. Please note that photography inside the Chapel is not allowed but there are no restrictions on outside photography. New visitor centre with touch-screen technology, letting you see the carvings close up; gift shop and good coffee shop. Full details of how to get here and what to see and do is on our website.

My partner wanted to visit here after reading the book. Was pleasantly surprised, very nice visitor centre and an excellent tour guide, she was great. Well worth a visit and spent a few hours looking around and learning about its history.

We had hesitated to visit Rosslyn Chapel because of all the nonsense associated with Brown's book 'The Da Vinci Code', but today we went, bathed in the cool sunshine of a spring day. We arrived a tad early for the 12:15 presentation and were thus...More

Thank you very much for visiting and for posting such a great review. Other travellers should note that we do sometimes ask for identification for concessions, so it is always good to have this when visiting, and there is no charge for children visiting as...More

Beautiful chapel and small museum with information regarding this 600yr old chapel, including the mysterious happenings. There is a shop and events happening year round. You have to visit this amazing chapel, wander round and take in the beauty of it.

I enjoyed the visit to this mysterious church. I felt it expensive but they do look after the building. If you are into the "holy grail then it is a worthwhile visit. We traveled by bus. well worth buying a £4 a day travel ticket.

Rosslyn Chapel is stunning! The architecture dating back 500 years is unbelievable especially as it's built from sandstone and was left open to the elements for a period of 200 years at one stage. It is a miracle that it survives intact. Our guide was...More

Fantastic place to visit. Steeped in history and with a resident cat in tow called William. Will never forget the stonemasons apprentice. I recommend you take the time to listen to the resident expert who brought the chapel to life with his descriptive analysis.
