This course is historic, interesting to play, and whilst it has challenges it is also fair. It is well maintained, and I recommend a visit, ideally playing the 9 holes twice

Plenty to do and see at Musselburgh links whether it's a round of golf on the oldest course in the world or even a flutter at one of the many horse race meetings held over the year. Ornithologists are well catered for with the many...More

Musselburgh (Old Course): They claim, with some justification apparently, that this is the oldest continuously played course in the world. As the guys changing their shoes with us in the parking lot told us: "St. Andrews may be the home of golf but this is...More

Usually some activity on the links like football, outdoor exercise classes, dog walkers. The pitch and putt is a must on a visit to Musselburgh. Such a lovely view when playing and could round off with a trip to the oldest golf course in the...More

Worth playing because of the historic significance. Best to play it with hickory clubs. Only £8.10 for the 9 holes and played on a sunny calm day so very enjoyable. The starter was very helpful.

Moderately sized and reasonably challenging 9 hole course. Long, gently undulating fairways, dotted with soft and deep sand bunkers. The fairways and greens are in good shape. From 100 yards in you want to pitch and run the ball up to the green between the...More

What a fun little course full of history and good value. But it can get really busy so I'd go early or late. Mrs Formans pub at the end of the course is no more sadly. Just an empty building.

Played 9 here with hickory clubs and would definitely recommend! The staff were very friendly, the clubs were fun to hit with, and it's the oldest golf course in the world! Course is only 9 holes and some of it plays through the surrounding race...More

My son and I rented hickory clubs to play this historic 9 hole course. Guinness World records certificate on the wall authenticates golf was played here in 1672. Really fun experience playing it with the old clubs
