This site is definitely worth the visit, but to appreciate the landscape and history of the location it isnt really necessary to cross the bridge. It isnt expensive, but a consideration. If you dont have tickets and are on a tour with limited time and...More

Something to do if you are in the area and get there earlier enough to avoid the lines. Otherwise, the Giant's Causeway is much better than Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge Pros: - Not too hard of a walk - Some nice views Cons: - Underwhelming -...More

Even if it's raining, do it! You can also pay the admission and walk around the trails before the bridge (it's about a 10-15 minute walk from the entrance to the bridge itself) and still get stunning views. You're definitely not forced to cross the...More

What a lovely day traveling to the rope bridge. I'll admit I was nervous in preparation for crossing the bridge but it really was such a breeze and actually looked legitimate. I was expecting more of a make-shift bridge but it's not all. You can...More

If I were to get here when it opens, Approximately how long is it from time of purchasing ticket to time of crossing? I will be traveling to Dublin from here and don't want to arrive too late.

What is there to do on the island? Is it okay to bring a picnic? Poke around? Is there a time limit?

There is no time limit, although they do control how many people go across the bridge at a time. When we were there part of the island was closed off because of the nesting birds, and there has been some erosion. It is more... More

I will be visiting northern Ireland from the USA in June, and this attraction looks like it will be worth stopping to see. Is there a Visitor's Center associated with this bridge, to learn more about it? Is there also a gift shop or a place to buy food/snacks? Thanks in advance!!
