Hi, not sure how far you want to walk but we have recently walked this beautiful stretch. I really recommend the inland alternative route on the south Dorset ridgeway. Catch a bus (going towards Bridport ) at the west end of the sea front and ask to be dropped at Swyre. From there go down the lane towards West Bexington, on reaching the village you will see a coastal path sign going up a rough track to you left, near the top you come to a fork, take the right hand one and then just keep following the coastal path signs all the way to Osmington where you can catch the bus back to Weymouth. It is a long walk (17miles) but not hard once you are up on the ridge except a bit of a climb up to Hardy's monument but a really beautiful one. Or catch the bus to Osminton (going towards Wareham/Swanage) and pick up the coastal path across the fields to Osminton mills for the beautiful 7 mile walk to Lulworth Cove with some steep climbs at the Lulworth end. Buses are a rare thing from Lulworth though so you might be better to catch the bus to Wool and there pick up the bus down into Lulworth (check times on google) and then walk the other way . The walk over the ranges to Kimmerige is amazing but only open week ends and school ls (need to check on Lulworth ranges web site) but again transport is a problem. We stayed at YHA Lulworth then got a taxi (£18) to Kimmeridge and walked back from there. It has some very steep climbs and descents over the 7 1/2 miles but gorgeous and one of our favorites!
