Initially, the gardens didn't seem very extensive, but the longer we stayed the more impressed we were with the variety of plants and the interesting layout of the gardens. When you wander around a second time, you come across lots of different pathways. Highlights were...More

But a ticket that gives you reduced admission to Abbotsbury Swannery. The gardens are extensive and it's worth a walk up the hill to see the fantastic view along Chesil Beach. The Rope Bridge is a bIt of fun but take care. It is expensive...More

Like many others,we found the cost a bit over the top at £12.50 each. But we did marvel at the depth, colour and variety of the plants in this extraordinary garden. I enjoyed playing Indiana Jones on the rope bridge and we did climb up to...More

Second visit, and was worth going back. Very good gardens which are not too formal. Lovely Rhododendrons.

Really impressive gardens to walk round, everything looked great and gave me some great inspiration for my garden at home! The only reason I don't give 5 out of 5 is because the lady on the entrance wasn't very welcoming and the café is stupidly...More

Wondedrful gardens with wooded walks through a lovely valley location. The jewels in the crown for us was the Magnolia walk with absolutely fantastic views along the coast and seeing several lizards in the undergrowth at the top of the gardens.

At least a couple of hours. They are quite extensive and it depends how fast you walk and how interested you are in the plants, but I am no gardener and I was enthralled. If you want to do the swannery as well, get to the... More
