We spent a good half day at this attraction, we found the staff to be very friendly and informative, we had several rides on both the 2'0" gauge and the miniature railway, I enjoyed them as much as my 4 year old Grandson. My wife and my favourite was the model village, complete with working exhibits. Personally we thought it... More

We had a fabulous day here. Our 3 year old absolutely loved riding on the trains and pressing lots of buttons on the model railways and village. Everywhere was spotlessly clean (including the soft play area) and obviously well looked after. Make sure you have a couple of £1 coins with you so little ones can drive their own train... More

This is certainly a place for the big boys, small boys and interest for the ladies. Well worth the visit and tea at the end.

We visited with our dog, and had a super time. Friendly staff, great (unlimited) train rides, and on one occasion got a solo ride on the little train as it was lunchtime and all the other families seemed to have gone for lunch. Looks really small when you arrive, but apart from the trains there is the model village -... More

We went during half term but despite lots of cars the site wasn't packed. The staff were friendly and informative happily answering questions about the roles previously played by the trains. My child got to wave the flag to start the train and loved it. The site was clean and although we did originally worry about the cost it was... More

Had an enjoyable half day at the railway centre. Lots of train rides and a few other distractions including a good soft play. Would recommend as alternative day out but it doesn't make our top 5 Devon attractions for young families. Reasons why not 5 stars 1. Slightly pricey for family of 4. 2. Toilets and park was clean but... More

Thank you for your review and I am pleased that you had an enjoyable half day with us. We are a little disappointed to only receive three stars especially as you would recommend us. I would also like to respond to some of your comments if I may. The smell that you refer to at the picnic site is due... More

As we couldn't book into our holiday cottage until late afternoon we visited here. Very friendly staff, lots of smaller attractions but all very good value for money and ideal if you have a few hours on a dry day you need to pass the time with.

To be honest, we came here as adults, just to see the model railways, but thought we would go on everything else anyway. This is an excellent attraction for children. Dare I say it, better than a more famous one on the south coast. :-) What really made our day was the staff, who were all cheerful, friendly and helpful.... More

We went with our four grandchildren children, aged 2 to 5, their 2 mother's (our daughters) and a son in law. We arrived at opening time of 10.30, and dragged ourselves away at 4pm. There are two railways - a miniature and a narrow gauge. The latter was hauled by Rebecca, a 105 year old German locomotive, brought to Devon... More
