The inner and outer harbour with its quaint narrow streets, terraced cottages and unavoidable tourist attractions, is where Dutch King William of Orange landed to start his ill-fated invasion of England. Don't forget the oft-overlooked Middle Street and then round the corner from it to Battery Gardens where the excellent Brixham Battery Group has a great museum explaining the role... More

Authentic mix of tourist hot spot and working fishing port. Eateries catering for all tastes, significantly 'on the up' in my opinion.

What a beautiful place Golden Hind is in the harbour costs are from £7 each to go on the ship, can get busy, beautiful craft market in the harbour, just behind the harbour is a Cornish pasty shop, all sorts of fillings and sizes. Quaint streets and shops

Busy and bustling Brixham has some good shops, pubs and restaurants around and overlooking the harbour. Crab nets and crab lines are available from nearly every shop, and leaning over the harbour wall crabbing, quickly gets you plenty of the critters - buy a bucket with your net!

We've been a few times to this lovely harbour. It was a hot day so a quick wander around and then a refreshing harbourside drink whilst looking at the Golden Hind replica. Could've stayed all day..

Must visit the weekend market, have a fresh seafood salad from one of the kiosks, catch the ferry to Torquay or browse in the many little shops, have a special gin/cocktail in Liberty (it's amazing) and go crabbing whilst the grown ups drink rattler in The Prince William and we also highly recommend the carvery there.

Nice little place to visit, with nice little cafes to sit and have a cuppa tea or dinner for a reasonable price

Loved the harbour, crabbing is a must, pebble beach is beautiful, boat trips for £3 return to other places, fish and chips are lovely, the ppl are nice, we had great weather so could enjoy all Brixham has to offer, the shops are full of lovely gifts. The only thing i found difficult finding was beachwear when my daughters broke!... More
