Well worth a visit, such a lovely place and the gardens are amazing. They are well maintained and colourful and house a statue of Queen Victoria and Victor Hugo.

Visited here for the free music on Sundays - Jazz, which was excellent, donation buckets were passed round to support local incentives. Lovely spot to sit overlooking the town, well maintained, worth it for a free wander with some entertainment on.

The upper garden has views out across the harbour. The lower garden has more interesting flower beds and a pond. We didn't go into the cafe.

Candie gardens are simply beautiful, whatever season you choose to visit.there are wonderful views over the other islands, the statue of Victor Hugo and the Guernsey museum and it's excellent cafe to visit all within the gardens. You can spend a day here very easily.

Yes the plaque is where the previous reply states. There are also photos in one of the corridors of the Beatles and others that preformed at Candie theater in the 1960's. Hope you find it!
