Listen we had the weather. Glorious sun and off shore breezes to allow us to enjoy this lighthouse at its best. It is a rugged crag and rock outcrop on which the sea broke in massive troughs of water and had that hypnotic effect of holding your attention. We visited the impressive building as far as you could get to... More

Visited on a blustery day, but the views from the causeway were lovely and the sea crashing against the rocks was very atmospheric. We also enjoyed looking at the German bunkers nearby.

Quite a challenge walking to the base of the lighthouse the rocks look evil with the low tide need to stick to the walkway. the walk back to the cliffs steep and definitely takes longer than the decent. The views are magnificent. The regular bus service enables everyone to get at least to the cliff tops.

Whilst a lovely site, it is at its most majestic when the tide is high and the wind is blowing onshore

Came across this attraction on a walk along the costal path from St Brelade's Bay to Corbiere unfortunately when we arrived the tide was coming in so the causeway was closed. All the German bunkers in the are are also interesting and there are some fantastic views across St Queen's Bay and La Rocco Tower

Walked with friends from St Aubin to St Brelade, coming off the railway route near Waitrose. Is a beautiful walk very quiet and picturesque. The old tunnels under the road show where the railway once was. Very safe and one day will complete the journey on foot to Corbiere. Walk down the hill to St Brelade goes past many amazing... More

A great place to visit, plenty of parking on the land side (regular buses too) and a short walk out along the causeway to the lighthouse. Very occasionally the lighthouse is opened but usually only for pre-arranged groups. 100 steps up to the door! Check tides first as it's easy to get cut off by the incoming tide, although there... We risked the wind to walk the causeway to the lighthouse and we were glad we did. The views are incredible and we learnt some interesting facts about the lighthouse as well.
