You don't often think of the African Savanna in the rolling hills of Tennessee, but at Bright's Zoo you are transported to across the Atlantic to the plains of Zimbabwe. Great opportunities for kids to learn about and feed various African fauna. I would highly recommend a Sunday afternoon outing with the family to Bright's zoo.

3 adults and 1 3-year old visited Brights Zoo today. We had a blast! The staff was kind and considerate and seemed very pleased that we were there. Even offered a military discount for my husband. The Zoo is very clean! The three-year-old loved feeding the goats and the giraffe's. We had a very fun afternoon!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Brights Zoo. We are always happy to have guests in the zoo to enjoy the beauty of all the animals here at Brights. The Giraffe feeding is always a big hit and of course hard to pass up feeding the goats. Thank You, David Bright - Zoo Director More

We took our grandchildren for a special trip. We had a great time. The kids were able to feed the giraffes, and we saw close-up a bunch of unusual animals. This not a huge zoo. But it is clean, well laid out with many unusual animals. This is a great place for families.

Almost all of the enclosures were very large. Lots of animals. Nice wide areas to walk around. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Boo at the Zoo was wonderful. My kids loved it! They can't wait to go again this year.

This is perfect for a place to kill a couple of hours or just get out of the house. It's not a huge place and takes a short amount of time to walk through, but we really enjoy it! Very, very clean and the animals look very well taken care of.

Just as many of the other reviewers noted, this has to be the cleanest zoo I've ever visited. The grounds, bathrooms and animal enclosures were pristine. I took my handicapped 87 yr old mother and 90 yr old father. The zoo is H/C accessible and they have wheelchairs that you can use. The paths are concrete so a wheel chair... More

This zoo is a fun place to visit. There are all sorts of animals to see and they all look fat and happy. The grounds are well kept and the animal enclosures are well maintained. I say well kept and maintained because the whole place was clean and didn't smell bad. I loved feeding the giraffes, but feeding the goats... More

Maybe it's because I've been to a LOT of zoos but I was very disappointed with this zoo. There were several cages of the same animals (squirrel monkey (3 cages) spider monkey (2) zebra (2) ostrich (2)) but I felt that there were not a lot of animals actually in this zoo. The food was good, the walk was good,... More

We are sorry to hear that you were not totally satisfied with your visit. We would love to address a few of your reasons. There are multiple exhibits of the same type of animal at the zoo simply for breeding purposes. We are a breeding facility (why you see so many babies at our zoo). Spider monkeys, you said there... I found a deal on groupon and my friends and I decided to go. The zoo itself is sprawled out over a few acres of land. However, some of the cages still seemed a bit small and over populated like that of the flamingo area. In addition there are some animals that you have a hard time seeing either due... More

Thank you fektiongirl1 for taking the time to review Brights Zoo. We would like to take a little time and answer your concerns. You mentioned the zoo is spread over a few acres of land. My grandchildren love to go to this zoo. It is very clean and friendly place to visit. They have times when you can feed the camels, giraffes and lorikeets. They have a nice snack bar.
