Brought our boys here for fishing and although the overall experience was good - we felt really ripped off when we realised we paid €50 in total for an adult and a child to fish for 5 hours - this with our own rods and us not being able to bring our catch. Facility is good but if you are... More

Just got home from the day here. We almost didn't go after reading some of the reviews on here but so glad we did. Yes you "could" spend a lot but equally you could ration yourselves and your kids as we did and there is plenty to do which is included in the nominal entrance fee plus for our 4yr... More

Very Expensive - €3 admission per person over 3 and then it is €€€€€ for everything the kids want a go on eg €8 for one go on the zip liner. It is a lovely place, however ridiculously expensive. €2 for coffee but in a expresso sized cup and it was only percolated coffee!!! Won't be back at the prices... More

As a family of six (two adults and four children) we where told to come to Rathbeggan as a cost effective family day out. Rathbeggan Lakes has so much to offer for all ages but it costs a lot for the priviledge. We arrived here at 11.30am last friday armed with a picnic and ready for a full day of... More

Website says this is open all year round but it's not really. Visited on Sunday and we were told the only activities available were the walks and pet farm. The walks were flooded and pet farm consists of three sheep, three goats and some poultry. Probably fine during the summer for picnic etc but not this time of year.

Perfect spot for our group's Christmas Gathering. Dave the owner was the perfect host and arrange a drive out throughout historic Meath in our Land Rovers around the Boyne valley. It is an ideal spot for family's planning a summer camping trip .Family run & family friendly we will be back

Beautiful surroundings and nice walks. BBQ and picnic tables all round the lake and fishing rods for hire. Lots for the children to do including pony rides and large bouncy castle area. There's a zip wire and high climbing wall for older children but lots for the little ones as well. You can go out on the lake in swan... More

Went yesterday with my four year old. €2.50 each in which included parking. All activities were pricey enough and organisation was extremely lacking. you could buy tokens for use at the 'lodge' AKA Slushy van. so there were €3 or €4 tokens or you could buy 20 tokens for €20 - great discount there!! FOr a walk around a small... More

Sunny day, so we decided to take the 3 kids (9, 8, 5) here. €2.50 per person including adults admission fee and bar a small playground and a small Forrest walk everything was so expensive. 3 of us went on a zip line that lasts 25 seconds and that alone was 21 euro. We had to queue for ages for... More
