Spent most of today on Ceann Tra - it was pristine. Crystal clear and clean water; ample parking ; great facilities and special mention to very attentive and friendly lifeguards.
No sign of dog poo / beach was perfect.
This was a special place for the great Paidi O’Se and is close to his home.

Lovely days spent on this lovely beach. It has a long stretch so everyone can spread out and enjoy their own space. Water was calm and the place is pristine.

We stopped off on a trip around Slea Head, mainly due to Christy Moore’s song about the place! It’s a lovely beach, good parking for a campervan, Jelly fish were in unfortunately but we still enjoyed its beauty.

The closest beach to our Airbnb and blue flagged so we thought it would be perfect for the kids. How wrong we were, the amount of dog poo all along the beach was a disgrace. Add to that all the horse poo as well and it made for a pretty awful experience.
During the summer months at least, Ventry beach should be dog and horse free.
On top of that, and I appreciate nothing can be done about this, is the amount of seeweed and jelly fish on the shore line and in the water.
So disappointing.

I was wasting time will my family where in aqua dome so me and my dog went for a dander .i found the beach as it was a lovely day to stretch the dogs legs the sea is really calm and the sand goes from harbour all the way round the bay ,a little river splits the the beach but is easily crossed and there is a foot bridge ,

Lovely beach for swimming, walking and relaxing. Needs more vigilance about dog poo removal and horses should not be exercised during family hours

Visited the beach with a few friends for a quick swim, ended up staying for over three hours! Beautiful spot, amazing landscape and the sun was shining, felt like we were in Spain. Water wasn't too cold either, the grass is great to sit by as a natural windbreaker.

A lovely beach for a walk. It was quite busy but if you walk by all the tourists at the start, it’s begins to thin out

This is a wonderful county, rugged and wild, with more sheep than people! But Ventry is a beautiful "strand" which seems to last for ever. Good weather is not guaranteed!%
