Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There is a great beach here which has a life guard on duty during the season.
There is a lovely walkway between the the new and old piers- great place to see boats bobbing about and take a moment to appreciate views of Co Clare.
Good place to have a picnic!

The pier is a lovely place to walk and admire the boats in the harbour, the expansive views of the Connemara coastline and listen to the plaintive cries of the seagulls overhead.

Our accommodation host suggested driving along the coast from Moycullen to Galway, and stopping to see the beach at Spiddal. It was a good call!

Lovely place to stretch your legs and get some fresh air. There’s also lots of places to stop off for a coffee, or something to eat.

Clean sandy beach with a lifeguard on duty. Appears to be a safe place for children to paddle and play.

Nice paved walk along the seashore from the old pier to the new pier, we enjoyed watching people swimming and enjoying the beach as well as looking at the various boats moored on each pier.

This is a peaceful beautiful harbour area with great views of Galway Bay. Plenty of parking away from the main road.

Spiddal Harbour overlooks Galway Bay. A small harbour with some traditional fishing vessels. A small chapel is located behind the harbour.
