We dropped in here yesterday, after attending a hectic wedding in Galway on the night before, and it was magnificent. Such a beautiful place with an unspoilt white sand strand and wonderful dunes and cliff walks. It’s a pleasantly wonderful drive from Galway through Roundstone...More

Loveliest beach and end of season. No body here and cool and windy. A magnificent place! Everyone must see this place sometime in their life!!

It is a good beach, went during summer season. Worth visiting with family and kids. Parking is available but the road is very narrow so only one vehicle can pass at a time from one end and someone has to monitor it else all nice.

Well worth seeking out and driving to Dog's Bay. Stunning beach and scenery. Even on a slightly drizzly day Dog's Bay made an impression on us. The bonus was the cows on the beach.

We got out before Dog’s Bay Beach and made our way there via two other beaches and a small headland. A heavenly mix of rock exploring, wave-dodging, white sand, rock pools, bouncy sea-turf and all the resultant wildlife. The mountains topped with mist in the...More

Don't know about August as I went in April. But there did seem to be a couple of dogs around then. Very peaceful then.
