The sign in the parking lot warned to not leave valuables in your car. After driving through a neighborhood with barred windows and doors to get there we opted out and went to Ijams.

The gardens and walking path were fine. The visit is free of charge and there was ample parking. Not a lot of great foliage in September but probably better in the Spring and later in the Fall.

There are a number of gardens. I loved the new "Secret Garden". It is even handicap accessible. So much detail. There are 47 acres to roam around. Numerous walking trails, a number of different gardens and over 2 miles of beautiful stone walls & unique...More

This is a quirky botanical garden; more like a park. No entrance fee, although there is a visitor center across the street with some information and a map (get the map!). About 10% of the gardens surround the visitor center (looked like part of an...More

Unassuming gardens make for a nice stroll but don't expect too much. Best feature, for me, was meandering among the tall bamboo, but watch your step for the roots and stumps - sturdy shoes preferred. Good views from elevation, nice stone work. Worth a relaxing...More
