My wife and I love zoos and decided to visit Zoo Knoxville for the first time on Presidents Day. It was an unusually warm February day and the winter pricing of $9.95 for an adult was a good deal. Unfortunately, one ticket window and one ticket checker made for LONG lines. The ticket purchase line made sense but the long... More

All the animals are well taken care of. Gorillas, Lions and otters are our favorites. Lots of construction going on at the moment.

Overall, Zoo Knoxville surprised us in a good way. The regular ticket prices are $19.95 for adults for Zoo Knoxville (plus $5 for parking). I would have been disappointed had we paid that, but thankfully it was the off-season so tickets were buy one, get one free. We visited on a Thursday, didn't arrive until 3:15 and the zoo closes... The Knoxville Zoo is tucked away in a beautiful park-like setting where the displays fit into the natural flow of land. Visitors enjoy a beautiful walk as they visit with the animals that are so well provided and cared for. Many sweet decorative items (animal sculptures) that will delight children and the splash pads are great on a hot day.... More

Decided to visit the zoo just to get away for the day. Was worth the visit just to relax. If you have kids this is a great place to visit with them..

The zoo was fun and it was not crowded at all. It was a winter visit but it was sunny and warmed up nicely. Many parts are closed. We went on a BOGO day so it was worth that.... Glad I did not pay full price for what we got. They are making some improvements so a lot of construction... More

We are from Ohio so we are used to the Cincinnati Zoo. This seemed much smaller and not as much to do, but we went in February so a lot was closed. Lots of kids activities though. Prepare for lots of hilly up and down walking for this zoo. Glad we went!

Visited the zoo today, although it was cold, we still had a great time. Good variety of animals to see. Would love to come back in the spring/ summer to see them all out and about in cages. Definitely a good family attraction with a small water feature for the kids.
