We attended during a Saturday Science Connection time with a Biology program from UTK. Mom and kids both enjoyed learning about synthetic biology. The new exhibit updates are great too. Plan to spend 2-3 hours there.

We really enjoyed this place. The kids loved the outdoor playground. Inside were plenty of STEM activities that all kids enjoyed(13, 11, 10 and 2). The toddler area had a play grocery store and playground area. Older boys loved to build with blocks. They had fun outdoor space with bubbles and an edible garden. We had a great time.

We visited the MUSE with our family with members from 2 to 66, all had a great time. Many interactive displays to delight all age groups. Wish it was closer to where I live.

We meet with family in Knoxville as a meeting point that we see once a year. The children we brought to this location ranged in age from 1,3,6,9. They give a very good Military discount! Which if it applies to you we recommend you take advantage of. They offer: Soft Block building area, Craft area, Puppet/Dress Up, Grocery Area, Shadow... More

The Muse is a wonderful (inexpensive) place to take the little ones to play & learn. They have really made major improvements in the past year or two and I understand the City is working with them to find a larger more suitable home. Some days they reach the occupancy max by noon! Go early - take a picnic -... More

This is a very small museum. The website is a tad misleading about what it offers. It was fun for a little while for my younger children the older was bored right away. If you have small kids and need a indoor activity for a couple of hours then this place will work. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful... More

We drove to Knoxville to visit The Muse. Naturally we compare it to the Discovery Museum in Chattanooga. As far as exhibits are concerned, it's not as elaborate as the Discover Museum. However we, which includes our 3 grands, had a blast. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to others with kids. We would return. Also... More

This is a small museum, but it's been recently remodeled. The new areas include a STEM area for older kids, and a new garden/store, clinic, play structure with slide, and small infant area. The other exhibits, including lego car ramp, recycled crafts, the planetarium, and large foam blocks, are still there. It is still an extremely small museum, nothing compared... More

Preschool and Elementary school aged children really find this place fun. Field trips, birthday parties, etc. There is a small planetarium that is really interesting. Also - the muse has activities and will come to schools to teach children, even older children things such as 3d printing, robotics, geology, oceans, cooking, steam activities, etc.
