I have to say that this park is nothing special . The only difference is that the flags of other countries are flown here along with the American flag . There is a playground area for kids and a big lawn for Frisbee, etc . Its just the name " World's Fair " that draws attention here .

Home to Knoxville's iconic Sunsphere, World's Fair Park, site of the 1982 World's Fair, boasts a man-made water feature, walking paths, gardens, and a lawn for lounging and festivals. It is right behind the Knoxville Convention Center and the Holiday Inn. The Sunsphere itself includes an observation deck and a restaurant. Nothing special, unless you live in Knoxville . .... More

Whether it's the summer and playing in the splash bad, to relaxing on the manicured lawn or going up in the Sunsphere, there is always something to do at the park. There is usually a festival or 2 going on as well! Great place to pets too!!

I don't remember the exact year but I visited when the park was used for the Worlds Fair back in the 80's I really enjoyed the exhibitions for Japan, Philipines, USA and the military band. Due to the large crowd we were not able to visit the observation tower.

The World's Fair Park has a great history since its inception during the World's Fair of 1982. (Woops, I'm dating myself...oh well.) The waters and fountain are great during summer months when it is hot. My husband and I have also gone to several events held at the park and they've all been fun. He is a teacher and his... More

Great place to take the family for an afternoon stroll or pic-nick. Beautiful scenery and the Sunsphere is awesome to look at.

We had planned to visit to allow the boys some time to burn off energy. Although we could drive around the park, we couldn't find parking near the park. We did go to the kids fort, the boys enjoyed it.

Gorgeous setting with outdoor amphitheater, pond (not full today), walking path, waterfall, and gardens. Nice place to relax or take photos.

great spot to hang out with the family on warm or hot days or just chill during spring. a lot of pokestops nearby and many catches made. the water area is also fun, but make sure you dont slip and fall. excellent for picnics or to just relax.
