When the sun sets, or as it is setting, head to Old City. Good Bars and restaurants. Crown and Goose. and Boyds Jig and Real is awesome!. What a wonderful selection of scotch!. And the Melting Pot is a great place for dining with friends. Music venues with live bands are in several places down there as well, especially on... More

There are lots of good places to go in the Old City. Boyd's Jig and Reel is our favorite in the old Manhattan's location. It has good food , good drinks, and good music.Tuesdays at Boyd's is special. Any musician in the Knoxville area may stop by and jam together. We've heard some great music on those nights. The Crown and Goose... More

Young people all around. Unique shopping and dining. Kinds of stores not the usual. Easy to park and stroll. Undergoing a renaissance. Parking easy.

The Old City is basically an expansion of Market Square. Good restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and a variety of stores with fun stuff to look at. It's a good place to visit when you want to get out and do something without anything particularly in mind.

We ended up in Old City by accident. It consists of old buildings that have obviously been converted into Lofts and shops. It looked to be very trendy and Young. You can take a trolley around town, and it will drive you through Old City.

music, jazz, sports, and "pick-up" cafes and bars. Could be ffun for a night of bar hopping. Small area served by free trolley so drink all you want.

The Old City in Knoxville has a great, eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and bars. Best breakfast in Knoxville is at Oliver in the old city. Lonesome Dove is a very high end steakhouse. Wish parking was a little better.

Love to go to Old City when in Knoxville. Have lots of bars for late night hours with bands and music. There is a Scottish and English Pub and they both serve food. Last Friday night the Scottish pub was hopping more than the English one. Lots of very good restaurants to choose from if you need a filling meal.... More

If you have never been to Knoxville then this small district won't take long to explore. And you will find some good places to dine while there. It has tailed off a bit over the past few years because so much has come into play near Market Square and downtown Knoxville which is a few short blocks away.
