Another free offering by the great city of Knoxville! Take an elevator up to the all glass 360 degree view of Knoxville. It made my knees wobble because we were so high up!!

The hours for the Sunsphere were 8 am to 10 pm. Only one elevator was working so it was a few minutes wait to get up and come down but it was definitely worth the wait as the view of the city was amazing!

The Sunsphere is worth visiting just for the views and to learn about the area and why it was built. There isn’t really anything else there, but it is a short walk from Market Square and worth the visit.

It is really pretty when you get up there. The elevator was a little creepy but nothing you couldn't handle. I appreciated the fact that it was free, and that you could stay up there for however long you wanted. There are pretty murals as...More

We parked in a free parking area by the Museum of Art and Fort Kids playground. The sphere was within walking distance and we saw the whole city in a few minutes for free!

We went up to deck twice including a Sunday a.m. Good 360 view of downtown and beyond. Free, good elevators, nice plaza including convention center with public restrooms and charging stations. Parking garages and meters about 2 blocks away.

It was a beautiful Spring day when I rode the elevator to the top of this curious landmark, and the view of the city and the surrounding hills was lovely. A visit is recommended if you are in the area. Free!Q

Yes, to get inside it is free and the observation deck is also free. I believe there was a restaurant on one of the levels, which obviously would cost you, and you might have to pay for parking nearby to check this out, but... More
