SEPT. 2017 - It is a bit misleading, the 4th level is at the top, inside the sphere. A number of information plaques are around the inside. To a visitor, its neat and FREE (considering the $8 each for the Space Needle). My only complaint...More

Glad it was a free exhibit because it's not worth any money. The tower isn't that high and if you think you're going to get panoramic photos from the observation deck you can't because of the structure itself. There is lots of information available to...More

I would do it again just to say I have done it. We went to the observation deck and saw a nice view of Knoxville. Since it is free I would recommend it but the surrounding park alone is worth the jaunt.

This Sunsphere Tower attraction is free. Great 360° views, they are stunning. Also the history display all around is very informative. The Sphere also have a restaurant a floor above.

This is a cool and free place to visit if downtown near convention center and the World's Fair site. It gives history of the Fair on placards and a great view of Knoxville.

Sunsphere Tower - Knoxville, TN - is a leftover from the World's Fair and stands in the World's Fair grounds.

I know you can get nice views from office buildings, but it's just pretty cool to go up n the Sunsphere and experience a bit of history. I recommend it if you're in the area.

Yes, to get inside it is free and the observation deck is also free. I believe there was a restaurant on one of the levels, which obviously would cost you, and you might have to pay for parking nearby to check this out, but... More
