Climb and zip along the Navitat Adventure Elements and Ziplines

Lots of fun and a real workout on the tree based elements for you to conquer, and a few ziplines thrown in too.

Local Belle Barre Yoga instructors teach SUP yoga at Ijams - you can sign up for the classes online. Classes are beginner-friendly and the instructors are great and do not make you feel like a newbie. SUP classes take place on Mead's Quarry... Ijams is a beautiful place to take these classes, hike, or walk a pet.

It was a bit slippery but totally worth it. The snow just added to the gorgeous landscape and views. Definitely worth a trip. The river boardwalk is very beautiful.

We picked up a map from the Visitor Centre - the staff were very helpful - and we took one of the popular routes. It was a lovely day which enhanced the experience but the trails, the board walks and the lake were a pleasure. Highly recommend a visit - you will be sure to get some lovely photos.

Trails, river walk, visitor center, wildflowers, old water-filled quarry, canoe rides, bike trails, special events and more. Highly recommend during the spring!

I started running at Ijams last spring, in preparation for the XTerra Half Marathon. My first time there, three miles onto a trail, I was bothered by a creepy guy who "wanted to talk" to me. Two days later, I saw on the news that a woman was attacked on one of the trails. All of this nearly put me... More

Close to downtown Knoxville, we wnet to the Nature Center and checked that out first. Not knowing what kind of path we would get on - we asked lots of questions. The hike was amazing. Not hard at all. Very windy, and pretty. The Boardwalk was breathtaking.

Ijams is a beautiful nature center about 20 minutes outside of Knoxville. It's a great place for a run with or without furry friends. If you are an adventurous soul be sure to visit The Bluffs in the summer and try cliff jumping.

A jewel. great trails, well groomed and maintained for walking in communing with nature. Don't miss the riverwalk, including the boardwalk. Read the signs about the geology and formations. Suggestion walk it counterclockwise to go DOWN the steep steps, instead of climbing.

Ijams Nature Center is a wonderful place for families, couples and the adventure minded. Beautiful trails wind through the grounds and along the river. Mountain biking trails offer opportunities for the novice and seasoned bike rider. The quarry is a beautiful oasis where you can paddle boat and kayak. So much to see and do in the beauty of nature!
