The Kingsport Carousel Project began in 2008 and has now involved around 400 volunteers from Kingsport and many surrounding communities. Volunteers have worked tirelessly with the goal of creating and operating a carousel for Kingsport. The Carousel features hand-carved wooden animals and chariots and original paintings on a refurbished/rebuilt 1956 Herschell frame. Rides=$1

Great carousel with hand-carved local animals etc to ride on. It's free and there are some decent places to eat across the parking lot.

I take my grandson to the carousel at least 2 times a month. The rides are fun for all ages. With a price that is very resonable for kids and adults.

Great place for families. We have had some issues in the past where a party takes over. Would be a great party for younger kids.

The weight limit is 200 pounds for the movable animals. They are hollow and hand carved. One of the operators the last time we were there told us that a few had to be repaired recently.
