I drive by the lake/park entrance almost daily. I spotted a large beautiful Whooping Crane perched on a submerged tree limb — so I pulled in to survey the natural beauty. The area has parking for about 20 vehicles. The park area is heavily shaded by large trees. The City of Gallatin has provided a picnic pavilion that seats around 40 -50 people (you can reserve the space for outdoor events). The areas for launching canoes & kayaks is level and accessible.
