Went by to see Governor Trousdale's mansion since was grandfather of old. It was closed. Went to "rarely advertised" Sumner County museum in behind house. We travel around the U.S.A. looking for great food and historic venues. This museum is exceptional. Allow time. It is loaded with historic artifacts from thousands of years old to recent times. Worth price just to see old firetruck and vintage autos, not to forget proof of Vikings traveling through the area. A must see if history buff or student.…

The displays are very well done and setup in a chronological order. There is a $5 donation that is well worth the experience. The staff member who was there the day we visited was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the contents and was very happy to share his information.…
