My husband and I really enjoyed visiting Franklin and wandering up and down Main Street. There is a lovely mix of shops and restaurants. The mix of interesting architecture and nice people made for a very nice day. There is free 4-hour parking on the street (and we did see parking "police" keeping track, so don't overstay or you will... More

Nice for a peaceful stroll with the family. Cool little shops and tons of nice people. Everything in this area is overpriced due to its location so it fun to look but horrible to buy. If you are nearby it's a definite must to see. If you are on a budget then eat and shop elsewhere.

We decided to pay Franklin a visit to get away from the hustle and bustle of Nashville. Very nice place to walk around. Plenty of shops and eating places. Do take time to visit free museum as very interesting.

Everyone needs to stroll around downtown Franklin if they are visiting the area. Strict regulations have preserved it in time and so it is quite picturesque. Lots of place to stop and eat or shop. Prices are very high (this is a tourist destination after all). Limited parking. Can also be very hot in the summer, limited places to rest,... More

Maybe because we've been to many quaint "main streets" this one did not stand out. It has the usual boutiques and small restaurants. It wasn't worth the time for us although we did have some good ice cream at Kilians(?)

We loved downtown Franklin! On a recent trip to Nashville we made multiple trips to Franklin to eat and explore the shops - of which there are several. Nice to pop into independent stores and unique eateries. Very walkable and plenty of parking - especially at the city-owned parking ramp behind City Hall (decent bathrooms in City Hall, too!).

Historic, beautiful, and friendly as it always. Local shops and great restaurants dot Main and side streets. Don’t forget to explore a block or two south and east for galleries and antique shops.

Downtown Franklin is a great place to shop and dine. There are a number of small, independent shops and restaurants. I took visitors from out of town there. We had lunch and walked into several shops. Even though the temperature was very hot, it was still a nice day as downtown Franklin is very laid back and was not crowded... More

Downtown Franklin is a nice place to shop and grab a bite to eat. It is very laid back and although it is a very small town, it offers a lot to do.
