We came to try the Saperavi and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of wines. Highly recommend to those keen on Barbera, Tempanillo, and other varieties. Food was also great.

The tasting room at La Cantina had a feel of Tuscany and Sicily where the Italian family originated from. The wines were good and the staff friendly. A good experience.

Great Sangiovese. Also liked the Rosato. Staff were very helpful. La Canteena is a family vineyard and the passion can be felt.

We knew we had to visit this winery when we visited the King Valley as they had a Saperavi (which we had tasted a couple of years back when we visited Georgia) which we loved. Beautiful setting for a wine tasting. Very friendly and great service. All of the wines were equally tasty and you could certainly taste the preservative free difference. We loved the wines so much that we walked away with an assortment of 2 dozen wines. Certainly a highlight of our recent visit to this gorgeous region.

We were grateful to our host during our stay in the King Valley for recommending this small family winery. The family are from Tuscany, and this is reflected in the style and decor of the tasting room. All of the wines are made without any sulphites or other preservatives added. They have quite a large range of wines, mainly from traditional Italian varieties. They also offer a very interesting, big, full bodied, deep purple wine made from Saperavi, an ancient Georgian variety.
We enjoyed all of the wines we tasted, and look forward to enjoying our purchases at home. The family "staff" were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting procedures were very professional. We can strongly recommend a visit to La Cantina.

Wow! What a sterling little find. We enjoyed delicious, traditional northern Italian food for lunch pair with some amazing wines. We can highly recommend the Saperavi, a delicious robust red. A staff member came to enquire about our food & wine, & brought us complimentary bread & bottles of water. Such a delightful, friendly vineyard & so pleasantly surprised to find a mini market, a roaring outdoor fire & roving entertainers to top off the experience.

Varied wine selection of mostly Italian grape varieties but also some local varietals offered. Helpful and friendly celler door staff but most wines seemed somewhat "tired and slightly oxidised "!

We visited La Cantina on a Sunday morning and really enjoyed our experience. The stone cellar building is simple but beautiful and we could have been in Tuscany! The wines are produced with no preservatives and were very good. My favourites were the Sangiovese - a succulent balanced wine - and the Saperavi with its great colour and flavours. Ruben was outstanding in his knowledge of the wines and his descriptions of them. Thanks and we will certainly be back for more!

I visited La Cantina for as part of the La Dolce Vita festival this year.

The venue was beautiful, the cellar door brings you back to the Italian countryside. The winery is owned by a wonderful Italy family who provided 5 star service to all the customers - even those they were very busy and inundated.

We didn't eat anything during our stop and the wine wasn't overly good but the atmosphere was great and the market stalls for the festival brought it alive. Well done.
