Moderately hard hike but worth the view once your're at the top. Amazing view from the top. Worth the entire hike.

You use the same route as the first settlers to Kentucky. Hundereds of thousands passed through the gap, following the Wilderness Road to settle the new lands. While not challenging, the hike does traverse uphill, especially after the turnoff to the tristate peak. Well marked,...More

Awesome place to visit. It’s located right off the main highway, easy to get to and free. The park offers plenty of outdoor activities, hiking, pic nick shelters, amazing trails and amazing views and history abounds.

My sister, her fiance, and I all hiked this in mid June. It was absolutely amazing, however it wasn't the easiest hike, I've ever been on, but I hike locally, and I have hiked some of the Appalachian Trail. 100% worth every minute of it,...More

Come prepared for a hike. Bring water and wear the right shoes. It's uphill all the way, and it's pretty intense in places, but it's worth it. 3 states at once. So sad that people treat the earth as thier own garbage can. Wish they...More

This trail starts at a parking lot with some nice metal figures of period people and animals. IT even had a sound track of a wagon with people and animals, was quite unique and worth the stop just to the parking lot! The trail was...More

This was a fun little walk to take, full of history, and views. Walking through the gap that several of our ancestors probably walked through, then climbing the hill to stand in three states at once. The boys had a great time.

I would think so, it is part of the national park. They usually are okay, as long as the puppy is under control. Seems like we passed someone with a dog on a leash.
