I would probably rate this park a 6/10 for difficulty. There is quite a bit of climbing rocks and crossing the water. But so beautiful when you get there. Watch out for snakes!

We went here after a walk around Nashville. Nice to get away from a noisy city. Be aware that unless you just want to see the falls from an overview (10 min walk), you will need to walk about 40 minutes and you will need to cross the river by foot a number of times. We did not make it... More

Super hard to find due to it it not being well marked. Beautiful overlook with amazing views and a lower water access. A bit of a walk so wear appropriate footwear. Trail is a bit rugged and not stroller or handicap accessible.

Don't make this hike on a hot day without your swimsuit, you would be missing out. The hike isn't too difficult, maybe 45 minutes max one way, over moderate terrain. Expect to have to wade some to get to the swimming hole, so either bring water shoes, wear water friendly/hike friendly sandals, or plan to walk precariously barefooted.

After wandering around Cookeville for a while and getting less than helpful directions from clerks who do not speak native English, I finally found my way to hwy 290 and found a small sign for the falls a few miles out of town, and then followed several other small signs until we finally reached the park entrance. A church along... More

I have visited Cummins Falls numerous times before it was a park, and now that the secret is out it is still just as great. However, it is more crowed. WARNING: If you are not used to hiking on difficult terrain or long distances, please stay away. The walk to the falls is difficult if out of shape and can... More

We went there in mid week, and had the place to ourselves. Very easy walk. I guess the draw here is in the summer you can wade and play in the falls, but it was a little cold for that. Like all the TN falls, each one is unique.

This is a beautiful place where you can go to the lookout on top, but the view from the bottom is much better. The trek down is steep and wet (have to cross the water about knee deep). Lots of rocks to climb over-in my opinion not super family friendly. There IS a short short cut right past the look... More
