I really enjoyed the tour and the home, worth it is worth taking time for a visit. It is not his home as an adult, that home (in Nashville) is long gone. This is one of the homes he grew up in.

President Polk's home and museum was very interesting. The home is about 30 minutes south of Nashville. While it's not very large its absolutely worth your time to visit. excellent tour guide

Sign on the highway led to a quick side trip to this site. It is set in a lovely town, about 5 miles off the Interstate. The gardens were lovely, the home belonged to his parents and he visited while in college.
